The Birth of a New Year

There might be a not so clear, but present, danger lurking amid the celebrations of this New Year. With full share of hardship on many levels, 2020 proved to be a bit of a parody in itself. It made the old adage “you’ve got to laugh or you’ll cry” seem more truthful than ever. The truth is that we’ve all done a little bit of both as we have inched our way through this last year.

Dusting off Glory

It was early in the day and a brisk forty degrees when we began our descent into the Grand Canyon. In preparation for a full morning of hiking on the Bright Angel Trail, the four of us laced up our boots and bundled up.

Joy is conviction.

These three words took 4,320 minutes to pen... three days to boldly find their place between the thin lines of my journal. I fought for them, which is often the process when the Lord is trying to dismantle the false ideas that I have about stuff.
